High Knees

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Start by standing tall in the with your feet shoulder width apart.

  • Position your body tall with your body upright and on the balls of your feet.

  • Engage your core by contracting your abdominal muscles.

  • Begin by taking one knee up to your chest and while keeping the other in the starting position.

  • Make a light jump off the ground and quickly switch legs.

  • Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions.

TIPS

  • Avoid leaning backwards while performing this exercise.

Variation

  • This exercise can be performed in a walking, skipping or running variation depending on your fitness level.
